Eugene of Lane County Oregon

Eugene nestled in the center of county of Lane is the third largest city in Oregon. Home of the Oregon Ducks an integral part of this great city.


A brief history on how the city of Eugene received its name.

In June of the year
1846 a man by the name of Eugene Franklin Skinner built a cabin on the side of a butte which today is known as Skinners Butte. Seven years later he founded  the town of Eugene City on June 6th. In 1862  the city was incorporated and they simpflied the name to Eugene.
